Project Proposal

 

 

 With society moving towards an age based upon advanced technology it is becoming more common to find a computer in the average household. Those who know how to use computers well, and the various software created by companies, will do well in the job industry since there is constant demand for those who have their degree in anything relating to computers. This topic is important to me because I hope to get a high paying job and to live a comfortable lifestyle and be able to support myself. Through my research I will be hoping to gain an entry level understanding of the program Photoshop CC created by Adobe and be able to use it well and take my knowledge into college.

                       I will need to research how to use the program and what I can do with it. I’ll need to know the basics so that I can get started and gain a beginner’s level experience until I am able to move on to more advanced uses of Photoshop. My research will mostly come from the internet and YouTube videos but I will also get a book on Photoshop that I can read through and study. Also, a friend of my father is a professional in Photoshop since he uses it every day in his company. I will set a date with him that we can conduct an interview and I can ask him specific questions about how to use Photoshop, What job opportunities it gives, the learning curve, etc.  Hopefully the outcome of my research will allow me to use Photoshop well and to create a product, an album of abstract photos using the knowledge I gained.      

             This topic is viable since graphic design opens up many opportunities for jobs from creating advertisements and illustrating websites to television and movies. With the way our society is going there will only be an increase of graphic designers and related careers.
