Interview Reflection

In my interview I leaned that graphic design could be an interesting career someone can go into. The learning curve doesn't seem to be too harsh from what I have learned in the interview, since the basics could be picked up in about 8 hours. Although, if someone wanted to become more of an expert and understand every part of Photoshop they would probably still need education and possibly a degree. And since there is an increasing demand for those who can use Photoshop, there are plenty of job openings available.

During the interview, the person I was interviewing made me realize that there has been a huge increase for graphic design because of the growth of the internet and the need for websites and advertisements to be created, which is what graphic designers do. They create the logos, and layouts of websites and they help their customers to create what they need/want.

I also learned that graphic designers have a big role in movie production, since they work with the directors to create scenes of a movie that largely relies on visual effects. And it takes a skilled person to make the visual effects look natural. And since there are a lot of movies being made in the modern century, there are a ton of jobs available and it should be easy to get one. However most graphic designers are self employed, and some work for large companies.

So far, information I've gained from my interview and other research, most people seem to enjoy their job as a graphic designer because of the flexible schedule and the ability to work from home which is more comfortable than working at an office.
